16 September 2023: Nuda CDO -the first DIY Korean Ramyun officially opened its first shop in Cagayan de Oro City. They are located at Brgy. 40, Corrales Avenue, just along Xavier University and a few steps away from the University’s Gym. “Nuda” was coined from how TJ’s niece; who is just a toddler says “Noodles” -so cute. TJ shared that he and Kz shares the same culture of recognizing and honoring their families and it shows how each of them have become involved in the business. Both of them also love to have Ramen during breaks and that’s where the idea was brought about.
The event started with a word of God by the family’s Pastor. He emphasizes that everything comes from the Lord and that He has a good plan for all of us; to prosper us and not to harm us. Indeed, the good Lord deserves to be recognized in all of our successes and wins in life because he is the source of everything. A prayer for the business and the business owners then followed. TJ and his parents -Mr. and Mrs. Monterde, initiated the cutting of the ribbons to formally open the shop that has been in soft opening for few weeks already. Mr. Monterde also shared insights on how the business started and shared bits and pieces about their lovely family.
Let me share this so you can have a bit of confidence when you visit the shop 😀
Upon entering, you need to greet them with “안녕하세요 / annyeonghaseyo” joke.. 😀
Getting in, you may look for a comfortable seat with your friends. You can also find some hooks for your bag under the table if you need one. Once settled, you can proceed to get a tray, your golden pot and utensils then head on to their Ramyeon wall where you get to choose a Ramyeon you’re interested in or most curious about 🙂 . Don’t be shy to ask them because they’re so accommodating by the way.
Next, open your Ramyun , place it in the cooking pot including its seasonings and then proceed to the counter where you get to choose your toppings. The last stop would be the cooking area. You can pause for a while and take time to read the instructions for a full experience. It takes just few seconds for you to proceed and get a taste of your chosen “nuda”.. 🙂
